Not quite such an obviously windy spot as the other two but someone with local knowledge would need to advise us. Perhaps it was called after a WINDGATE rather than the other way around?

The farm is clearly marked 'WINDGATES' on an extract from C. and J. Greenwood's one inch to the mile survey of 1827 below. But it does not appear on the Benjamin Don map of 1765 further below.
