This house is said to be that of Samuel WINDEATT, 1705-1794, in Bridgetown, Totnes. If so, it could be the house referred to in the biography of his grandson Thomas White WINDEATT in the West Country Poets book which states that Samuel WINDEATT opened his house for use as a non-conformist place of worship in the late eighteenth century.
