| 21 September 1769; 9 George III | William WINGETT of Paignton | Assignment of Lease for residue of term of 99 years | (1) Rawlin MALLOCK of Cockington, esquire. (2) James CHURCHWARD of the Newhouse in Stoke Gabriel, gent., Richard MALLOCK of Axminster, gent. For life of William WINGETT of Paignton. |
Presumably this is the same William to whom Rawlin MALLOCK left an annuity in 1774 (see below) | DRO; ref. 48/13/3/1/133a-b |
| 12 Apr 1774 | William WINDEAT | Will of Rawlin MALLOCK of Cockington | "To William Windeat, son of Henry Windeat of Paignton, annuity of £5, chargeable on lands in Cockington" | It's possible that this William is the son of the Henry who married Margaret UPTON in Marldon in 1754 because further records in the MALLOCK papers detail correspondence with Margaret WINGETT in which it is made clear that she is the mother of the William WINGETT who is receiving the annuity. | DRO: Mallock of Cockington [48/13/1 - 48/13/4] |
| 25 December 1775 | William WINGETT | file in Mallock family papers | Rawlin Mallock Debtor to Richard Mallock For Board etc. for William Wingett |
Why was Rawlin MALLOCK paying for William WINGETT's board? And what did Richard MALLOCK have to do with it all? | DRO: ref. 48/13/6/4/75A |
| 2 April 1779 | Mary Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Richard Webber of Mary Winget £1.13s.8½d. (Duty for cattle sold by auction) |
This is the only mention of a 'Mary' in the MALLOCK family papers. | DRO: ref. 48/13/4/8/165 |
| 13 March 1779 | Margaret Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Margaret Winget of Reverend Mr. Mallock £11. 7s. For rabbits for the use of Mrs. Mallock. |
DRO: ref. 48/13/8/1/16 | |
| 10 April 1779 | Margaret Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Margaret Winget of R. Mallock. | DRO: ref. 48/13/8/1/17 | |
| [n.d.] | Margaret Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Samuel Mallock to Margaret Winget at Cockington. | DRO: ref. 48/13/8/1/18 | |
| 21 July 1779 | Marget Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Philip Michelmore of Marget Winget, 6s. 7d. for 'Quarter's Landtax' due Midsummer 1779. | DRO: Reference: 48/13/4/3/17 | |
| 1 June 1781 | Margaret Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Margaret Winget of Rev. Mr. Samuel Mallock £10 (annuity given under Will of late Rawlin Mallock, Esq. to William Wingatt her son) |
This specifically states that the William who received the annuity under
the will of Rawlin Mallock was Margaret WINGET's son. But why is the sum specified as £10 now in 1781 but only £5:00 in 1774? |
DRO: ref. 48/13/6/4/75B |
| 27 June 1782 | Margaret Winget | file in Mallock family papers | Margaret Winget of Mr. Samuel Mallock (executor of the late Rawlin Mallock, Esq.) |
DRO: ref. 48/13/5/76 | |
| 8 June 1787 | William Wingett | file in Mallock family papers | William Wingett of Richard Mallock | DRO:ref. 48/13/7/2/2` | |

minor under will of late Samuel Mallock. Payments include Mr. Winget's annuity, Mr. Kitson's stipend, Mr. Fortescue's head rents, etc. |
DRO: | |
