Major Trafford's photo handily comes with an address:
Major Trafford, Hill Court, Ross-on-Wye
DATE: . . . ? There are lots of references to the Trafford Family of Hill Court in the National Archives Files and there is reference to a Major Trafford (who may or may not be the bloke above) in the 1890s. However, the collection of shields, etc seem to suggest an earlier date: See Roger Vaughan's page of 1880s backs and the back of the card linked below from 1885 is similarly decorated with shields.
