Here is an old photo which came with information on the reverse.  Is he one of your relatives?

DATE:  From Roger Vaughan's site it would appear this portrait is from c. 1900 when the backs once again became plain.  Strangely though the photographer's name does not appear on the front.

  • Photographer: Not stated so we have few clues about this gentleman.
  • Card:  Cabinet size card  with a plain back.
  • Fashion:  Jacket with braid around lapels, cuffs, pockets, etc.  Could it be some kind of uniform?  Wearing what look like warm, tweed check trousers.
